Jake & Kim chose the incredible Saint Kate Arts Hotel to get married at on New Year's Eve 2022! I was literally on cloud nine - I was so excited to be the one to photograph their classy nuptials.

When I arrived, I met Jake down at the riverwalk for their first look. The moment was truly perfect when Kim arrived and tapped him on the shoulder! I get so excited when a couple tells me they are choosing to do a first look! This choice brings numerous advantages. You won't need to hide from each other all day leading up to your ceremony, you'll get double if not triple the amount of portraits together because of the time spent together with your photographer before your guests arrive, and not only will you get more photos, but your hair and makeup will be at its absolute freshest, enhancing the overall experience.

Another favorite moment I get to experience as a photographer is when couples share written vows. Kim & Jake did just that. They were funny, thoughtful, and so beautiful and caring! I laughed and teared up during their vows.

Just moments after Kim & Jake were announced as husband and wife, we ran across the street to Red Arrow Park to go ice skating! This is where Kim & Jake had shared a special date and what fun it was to go back on their wedding day!
